Hello, I am really happy to see so many of you on here already with me! I'd like to see us come up with as many ways to spread the word about Community to as many people as possible. The biggest thing I can think of to help is for each one of us to share memes on our Facebook timelines from www.facebook.com/nbcCommunityFanMemesAlso, everything we come up with needs to go across ALL SOCIAL MEDIA FORMS at once. For example, can someone please come up with a logo for #CommunityWarriors? Then we'll post it across tumblr, etc? Okay, here is the set of ideas from the #Fringe fan movement. Basic idea is to spread the word across ALL social media forms: morethanoneofeverything.net/?cat=55Did anybody see any trending topics from this S04E02? If not, WE'LL MAKE #COMMUNITYWARRIORS TREND, BY GOD, SO HELP ME.

I think part of what helped the show trend so widely the week of the premier were the script/t-shirt giveaways. I'd never seen so many tweets concerning the show. We've got to figure out a way to encourage participation on that level again. Perhaps have a new hashtag or two, in addition to the #watchCommunity tag to use every couple of hours?

Im gonna make a wild suggestion. I believe organising the fan base would be easier if we assign leaders to each popular Communie website. We can organize ourselves easier and quicker. We should also ask other fan bases of cult shows etc. Doctor who to help us.

Here is a crazy, over the top idea. During the final season of Smallville, fans of Chloe raised a lot of money to produce a commercial showing appreciation for the character that ran during the show in the CW's top markets in Los Angeles and New York City.
Now, I don't how much that would cost on NBC's top markets. I don't know even know where to begin finding that stuff out, but I do know that if Community fans want stuff done, we get it done.
Obviously, if we did this we couldn't use any actual footage of Community for legal reasons. We'd have to do something like that YouTube video of all the fans saying why they liked Community. Another thing is if the intent is to get other people to watch, it would have to air during a show which more people would be watching like The Office or whenever The Voice, Revolution or Grimm come back. But if we just wanted to say "Hey, NBC, look how much we love your show, we're actually paying for airtime during the show" then of course we could air it during Community.
Anyways, now the crazy idea is out of the way, we can let the more sane ones prevail.

I know local ads are cheaper. I'll call my local affiliate. Great idea! ;D

Reach out to podcasters. I know I talk about it on my shows, and it's well talked about on a few others I listen to, but reach out to some with wider audiences. They tend to talk to the people that watch TV on their computers and may not be aware of Community (somehow, since they live on the internet, you'd think they would have stumbled across it) but hey, it's worth a shot.

Barry, that sounds cool. What are all the main podcasters that you listen to? I'll find them and reach out to them. Great idea!

I've got to head downstairs in a few minutes and get ready to record PANTS, but I'll get you a list afterwards. Possibly Dan and Erin on their podcasts? They still go to Cons and seem to be willing to help the fans, so they just might go for it on Harmontown / This Feels Terrible

Since you are in France, I really need your help most of all. In order to trend things on twitter worldwide, I need 7000 people trending at once, all across the world. I would be SO GRATEFUL if you would make a twitter handle for @communityfrance or something, try to organize other French fans (I know some great troublemakers from Belgium if not), and set your clocks (SORRY I KNOW IT STINKS) to tweet with us Thursday 8pm/7c (that means Friday at 2am, and I KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS OUCH!) Also, anything you can do with @_HJP_ and @legit_Republic (Egyptians) and @communitynut @leanne_Kristine @nwahs086 to work out #WatchCommunity and #CommunityWarriors fan unification project on an international level would be a HUGE WIN. HUGE. And anything you do for France, tweet me at www.twitter.com/violincatherine and I will give you every amount of love and help that I can, okay? If we get blasting on twitter like crazy nuts, we may be able to get some random Nielsen viewers to tune in. Just out of damned curiosity!

Before Regional Holiday music aired I made a poster similar to the one being spread around the fandom (Mindy's poster). However, rather than simply put the poster up, I tore off the bottom part and basically handed out those little slips of paper to people. I made over 100 of those things (maybe 200, I can't remember) and passed every single one of them out during the lunches at my school. I spent about a minute with each person telling them about the show, who's in it, and what they can expect in the next episode. I even included the hashtag that we were using that night. That night, I searched the hashtag in my area and I found that 10 people from my school used the hashtag!!! And that was only the people who didn't have protected accounts. Doing something like this CAN make a difference.
We have to make sure to mention actors like Joel and Ken since they are very popular outside the show. Make sure people hear us by getting in there face...nicely of course.
Also, take a look at your daily life and see what you can do to spread the word. Students should include Community in every single one of their class projects. Have wacky people in your life? Ask them to wear darkest timeline goatees and tell them how to respond when someone asks them about the goatee.
That's what I have for non-social media stuff. Hopefully I will be back with more ideas.

My friend Masrath suggested that we write quotes on dollar bills. It worked for Veronica Mars.

My friend Masrath suggested that we write quotes on dollar bills. It worked for Veronica Mars. Hey, that's me Another idea that I mentioned on twitter that I figured I'd bring up here: everyone who's financially able to should buy episodes, either on itunes or amazon or whatever other service you might prefer. It won't actually help the ratings, and the money goes to Sony, not NBC, but it'll still be proof that there are people out there who like the show enough to spend money on it.
